The NEW Colonel Smith Middle School will house students in Grades 6, 7 and 8. The Instructional Program will be driven by technology and will focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Programming that is appropriately differentiated for each grade level.  Instructional delivery methods will put heavy emphasis on project based, inter-disciplinary instruction that stresses real world problem solving and experimentation in a collaborative environment.

All spaces, indoors and outdoors, should be spaces for learning. The entry to the school, the school site and all areas of the building need to create interest, curiosity and opportunity. Our school should reflect environmental awareness and learning opportunities to students through its operation.

In total, the New Colonel Smith Middle School will be a secure, student centered school that champions student achievement.
