Immunization Back to School News
Nursing

By law all students’ immunizations must be up to date prior to the first day of School Year 2015-2016.  Boosters are mandatory for 4 year olds (Kindergarten) to include TDaP and Polio and 11 year olds ( 6th grade) to include Meningococcal and Tdap. Make sure to get these immunizations completed this summer through your primary care provider by making an appointment.  If your primary care physician is at RWBHC call 533-9200 for immunizations and well child physical appointment.

Announcements

  • In response to the incident at the school this morning a Lock Down Drill was called to secure the students at the same level of safety and care should the incident have proven to be a crisis situation.

We apologize for any confusion the label drill may have caused.

    Dear Parents,

At approximately 7:50 a.m., an employee working in the cafeteria at General Myer Elementary School notified the main office stating they thought they heard a shot fired. The MP Desk was immediately called and the school went into lockdown. Patrols responded along with Fire & ES in support, focusing their search near the area surrounding the cafeteria and loading dock. The patrols determined that a basket with various trash in it rolled down the side of the loading dock adjacent to the cafeteria and crashed into a fence, which sounded like a shot. The patrol supervisor spoke to school administration and they gave an all clear at approximately 8:15 a.m. The school resumed normal operations and all students and staff were safe.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call Mrs. Quarto at 520-459-8986.

    Sincerely,

Valerie H. Quarto, Myer School Principal
