    Music is more than just a melody, it's singing, notation, rhythm, and

    learning critical listening skills. Brain Gym is an integral part of my music curriculum, energizing the brain to connect learning and movement. Every class has music once a week. 

     
     
     
     
    Mr. Balandovich graduated from Wesley College with an n Associate of Arts in music and from Susquehanna University with a Bachelors of Music in Music Education.  He has also done graduate work at the University of Arizona and Pacific Lutheran College.

     Mr. Balandovich serviced in the United States Army with tours with the 7th Infantry Division, Fort Ord California, West Point Military Academy New York 8th Army Seoul Korea, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Red Cloud and 36th Army Band Fort Huachuca.

     Mr. Balandovich has served as the Director of the 2ID Soldiers Chorus,. He has served as the Assistant Director of the Cochise County youth Orchestra.

    He began his teaching in Arizona for the Tombstone district at Huachuca City Elementary School as Music/ Band Director.   In the  Sierra Vista School District he taught at Town and Country Elementary School as Music/Band Director.  For the past nine years he has been a member of the Ft. Huachuca District as Choir and Band Director at Colonel Smith Middle School, Band and Choir Director at General Myer School  and Music teacher at all three schools in the district.

     Mr. Balandovich has performed with I Cantore Di Carmel, Meister Singers of Sierra Vista, Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra (SASO),  Desert Swing, Sierra Vista Community Band and the  Sierra Vista Symphony.

     He has been a Clinician with the Cochise County Children’s  Choir, Cochise County Youth Orchestra and for the Arizona Music Educators  Conference.

     Our Music Program will include  the  methods of  Dalcroze, Solfege, Orff and Kodaly .
