This year will be my 24th year of teaching. I have taught a first/second grade combination class for three years, as well as a first grade class at Col. Johnston for 14 years. This year will be my 8th year teaching third grade and I love it! Third grade students are amazing thinkers and are able to extend their learning in so many ways. I love teaching, but the part I love the most is getting to know each child as an individual.

I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Food & Nutrition and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Health Administration from Northern Arizona University.  I have a Master's of Arts from The University of Arizona in Language, Reading and Culture, as well as a Reading Specialist Endorsement.  I am also a certified  C.L.I.P. (Reading Recovery) tutor.

Children are a joy and every day they teach me something new.
