• Hello and Welcome to my page!

It is a joy to be the counselor at General Myer Elementary School!  I am very excited to be here, and to work with the wonderful students and their families who attend.  Although I have only been at Myer for one year, I have been in counseling and human services for over 20 years, and have been a school counselor for 9 of those.  I love working with students of all ages and grade levels, and have truly found the school setting to be my most satisfying area to work within.

I am a native Sierra Vistan, and a graduate of Buena High School.  I received my Associate's Degree through Cochise College and my undergraduate degree in Psychology through the University of Arizona.  I received my Master of Science degree in Human Services through Capella University, and was fortunate to work as a guidance counselor at my alma mater, Buena High School, for 8 wonderful years.  I have also worked in Case Management at Canyon Vista Medical Center, and as a Child and Adult Therapist at Easter Seals Blake Foundation.  While those job experiences taught me so much about other areas of counseling and I loved the opportunities, coming back to the school setting was a natural transition for me.  It has been a joy to work with a new age group, and to create a whole new set of memories and experiences.

I have been happiliy married to my high school sweetheart Josh for 25 years; and we have two incredible kids, Morgan who is a senior at Arizona State University, and Trevor who is a United States Marine.  I spend every day enjoying life to the fullest and trying to help wherever I can.  Please call or email me anytime with any questions or concerns, and my door is always open!
