Mrs. Sullins

My name is Amy Sullins and I am very excited to be your child’s 7th grade Reading teacher!  I was born and raised in Ohio and joined the United States Air Force in 1996.  I spent six years on active duty keeping flight and training records.  I was stationed in Del Rio, Texas and Spokane, Washington.  While on active duty, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Workforce Education and Development.  Upon separation from the Air Force, I moved with my family to St. Louis, Missouri.  I proceeded to continue my education at Lindenwood University.  I received my certification in Elementary Education in 2006. I am also endorsed in Middle

Grades Language Arts, Early Childhood Education, and Structured English Immersion.  I spent one year teaching

second grade before my husband’s job relocated us to Sierra Vista.  This will be my eighth year teaching.

I am married and have two beautiful daughters. Bailey is

15 and Macey is 9. When I’m not in the classroom, I love to

go to my daughters’ jiu jitsu tournaments, decorate cakes, and cook. I just completed my Master's degree in

Education with an emphasis in Reading and Literacy.

I firmly believe that your child’s successful education

requires a partnership between home and school. You will

receive continual communication from me throughout the year regarding your child’s progress and I would like for you to communicate with me as well.

I am looking forward to our partnership together. If you have any questions or need to contact me, you may leave a message with the office or email me and I will respond to you as soon as possible.

It’s going to be an amazing year!
